Area
The island is divided into a Greek - Cypriot part in the south and a Turkish - Cypriot part in the north. Since it was previously an English colony most of the population on the Greek side speaks English. The island became a member of the EU in 2004. There is no wealth or inheritance tax on the island.
Cyprus enjoys 330 sunny days a year and has the lowest crime rate in Europe. The island offers cultural events and sights, as well as scenic tours by foot or car. A mountainous area is only a few kilometres from the villas or the traditional villages on the island are easily accessible for sightseeing.
Perneri Village is located in the outskirts of the city of Paphos – the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, signifying beauty and love. Paphos is on the west coast of Cyprus, with a little less than 50,000 inhabitants.
The city offers great beaches, stimulating night life, as well as intimate cafes and restaurants.
The children can look forward to the local Paphos Bird and Animal Park, the Limassol zoo and Waterworld, a large water park by Yeroskipou Beach in the tourist area of Kato Paphos.
The city has a long and exciting history - in Greek-Roman time it was the Cypriot capital. Paphos is today known for its many historic buildings, and is listed on UNESCO’S list of World Heritage sites.Perneri Village is a small unit by itself, five houses in harmony with itself and nature.
